Open your profile menu → Help & support for technical, feedback or privacy requests. Google sign-in is required to record a request. You can write locally without signing in.
Keep another copy
Backups & downloads exports saved device books, the current draft, snapshots and story notes. Restore adds copies without replacing existing books. Original imports and cloud-only books are not in that backup. Open cloud books first and download originals separately. Editing → Download offers Word, EPUB, formatted HTML, plain text and print/PDF.
Recover and organize
Drafts autosave on this device. Recover previous draft opens the preceding changed autosave. Version history contains up to 30 manual or action snapshots. Heading-based chapter tools use H1 and H2 headings you add; they do not use AI. Split at cursor keeps text and formatting on either side of your cursor.
Find your books
Sign in with the same Google account, enable cloud backups in Manage Books and refresh. A book must have been saved to cloud first. Device drafts and original files remain on the first device.
Import appearance
Use Original preview for retained PDF or Word files. Editable imports may reflow. Scanned PDFs need OCR; legacy DOC import extracts text. DOCX is preferred for Word files. Browser spellcheck depends on your language and browser settings.
Search and focus
Search works across chapters and inline formatting. Enter moves to the next match, Shift+Enter goes back. Match case and Whole word refine the results. Replacements save a snapshot first. Ctrl/Cmd+S saves a book; Ctrl/Cmd+F opens book search; Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+F toggles focus; Escape exits focus. Reading time uses an estimate of 200 words per minute.
Report a problem
Describe the action, result and approximate time. Avoid sharing passwords, API keys or private manuscript text. A technical report includes browser and feature status, not your book contents.
